How to solve it
Multiply the area of the triangular end by the length of the prism. If only the base and height of the triangle are given, halve their product first.
Worked example
A triangular end of area 25 with a length of 2 gives a volume of 50.
Common mistake
Dividing by three. That belongs to pyramids and cones, never to a prism.
