Work upwards where both lower bricks are known, and downwards by subtracting when the brick above and one neighbor are known.
If a brick holds 10 and the one below it on the left holds 4, the missing brick on the right holds 10 - 4 = 6.
Only ever adding. Half the gaps in a pyramid are solved by subtracting from the brick above.
