How to solve it
Run through the sequence from Monday to Sunday. Before means one step back and after means one step forward.
Worked example
The day before Thursday is Wednesday, and two days after Friday is Sunday.
Common mistake
Stopping at the end of the week. After Sunday comes Monday, so counting forwards simply starts the cycle again.
