About this exercise

Finding which day of the week a future date falls on.

How to solve it

Weeks repeat every seven days, so divide the number of days by 7 and move forward only by the remainder.

Worked example

Twenty days after a Monday: 20 : 7 leaves 6, and six days on from Monday is Sunday.

Common mistake

Counting every day one by one. Only the remainder after dividing by seven changes the day.
