Read two labeled marks and divide their gap by the gradations between them, then climb mark by mark up to the liquid surface.
If 100 mL spans five marks, each is 20 mL, so a level three marks up reads 60 mL.
Assuming each mark is 10 mL. The scale depends on the container, so establish it from the labels before counting.
