How to solve it
Change only the tens digit and leave the ones digit exactly as it is.
Worked example
Ten more than 93 is 103, and ten less is 83 — the 3 never moves.
Common mistake
Crossing a hundred. Ten more than 93 needs a new hundreds digit, so the tidy rule of bumping the tens digit runs out and the answer is 103.
